REVIEWS
"Remember Those Nights" sounds like it's lifted straight out of the soundtrack to every movie in the 80s. Magnificent sound, catchy chorus and a great guitar solo that could have been taken from any Def Leppard track from that era. The vocals are also very typical of the 80s, something in between Richard Marx and Joe Elliott with the characteristics they have now. And the more times I listen to it, the more I get drawn back to the memories of my youth and when a song can do that, then for me you have hit the right spot."

"The four pieces that make up the debut EP represent a heartfelt and spontaneous homage to a tradition that is still in vogue, a tradition that gave birth to Foreigner and Journey among others. What decisively emerges is the elegance that characterises the refined passages and satisfying, captivating works."

BIOGRAPHY
Star Vision is a rock-pop act based in Stockholm, Sweden, founded by Scott van Dort, born out of nostalgia for the 80s – a time when blockbuster films filled the big screen, guitar solos ruled the radio, and epic summers created memories that would last forever.

Citing a wide-range of rock and pop influences from the 80s and 90s, the idea for Star Vision first came about during the pandemic when reminiscing about youth and of brighter days.
Following two introductory singles in late 2022, Star Vision's debut EP 'Another Time, Another Place' was released in March 2023 featuring four songs that captured the spirit of yesteryear without irony or cliché. The EP was recorded and produced by van Dort and mixed by Sefi Carmel of Soundtrack Creation and SphereTrax.

In March of 2024, Star Vision released its second EP, 'Four More Reasons Why'. Mixed by Stefan Boman (Roxette, The Cardigans, Kent, The Hellacopters) at the legendary Atlantis Studios in Stockholm and mastered by Tony Lindgren (Billie Ellish, Opeth, Sepultura) at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden, the EP displays a natural evolution, including touches of 80s and 90s R&B, while retaining its roots. Both EPs to date have received radio play in the UK, Germany and Portugal.

The new EP features performances by guitarists Jimmy Konsta (lead guitarist for We are Legend) and Doug Mecca of Lucid Fly as well as award-winning saxophonist Hugo Lee who currently plays keyboards and saxophone for Australian legends, ICEHOUSE.

Star Vision performed its debut live shows in 2024 and was invited to perform at the official after party for the first annual 3-day AOR and melodic-rock music festival, Malmö Melodic. The festival, held in the south of Sweden at the end of July, featured some of the most established and well-respected AOR and melodic-rock acts today, including Perfect Plan, DARE, Ronnie Atkins, Remedy, and many others, drawing people from 22 different countries.

Included in the summer live sets was a new song, 'When You Look at Me'. A heartfelt ballad influenced by hit songwriters Desmond Child and Diane Warren, 'When You Look at Me' was released as a single on 11 October 2024, once again mixed by Stefan Boman at Atlantis Studios in Stockholm, Sweden. To celebrate the single, a release party took place on the same day at The Node in central Stockholm.
