About 'High on Love'
Released on 23 January 2026, 'High on Love' continues the electronic direction Star Vision had explored on 'In The Night, We're Free', this time moving towards synthpop while retaining echoes of the AOR and melodic pop-rock at the heart of the project's earlier material.
Musically, the song draws as much from the atmospheric electronics and synth-driven pop of Depeche Mode as it does from the heartfelt melodic sensibility of artists such as Richard Marx. Shimmering synths and electronic textures sit alongside soaring hooks and an earnest vocal, bringing together two sides of the Star Vision sound.
Lyrically, 'High on Love' explores the ecstatic rush of falling for someone – that moment when everything feels heightened and almost intoxicating – alongside the insecurity that inevitably follows. Beneath the excitement lies the unanswered question of whether the other person feels the same way.
For 'High on Love', Star Vision returned to Stefan Boman, whose understanding of the project's sound had been established through his work on the 2024 EP 'Four More Reasons Why' and the power ballad 'When You Look at Me'. Mixed and mastered by Boman at Atlantis Studios in Stockholm, Sweden, the track renewed a collaboration built around a shared understanding of Star Vision's musical direction. With more than 30 years of experience, Boman's credits include work with Roxette, Ghost, Opeth, Avicii, kent and The Cardigans.
Formerly known as Metronome Studios, Atlantis Studios is one of Stockholm's most historic recording studios and has played host to artists including ABBA, Roxette, The Hives, Ghost and Quincy Jones.
